Fundraising & Sponsorship

The Management Committee is indebted to the generosity of the sponsors and advertisers, many of whom are Club members. We encourage all members to take note of these organisations and make use of their services whenever possible. The Committee is also grateful to the members who have acted as introducers into these organisations. If it had not been for their foresight, the opportunity to strike a sponsorship or advertising agreement would not have occurred. If you have control of a marketing budget, or know who within your organisation has, please put MHC at the forefront of your plans; there are many benefits to both your company and the Club.

Hundreds of people pass through our facilities every week. Each one is a potential target for marketing and advertising. MHC is the premier sports club in Maidenhead by numbers. It is estimated that during the hockey season at least 600 people per week use the Altwood pitch, not including spectators. For a 25 week season, that’s 30,000 eyes! Over 50% of these are local people, with the rest coming from London and surrounding counties. Even out of the main hockey season the pitch is heavily used at evenings and weekends by various sporting groups and increasingly for summer hockey. During term time these numbers are added to further by the pupils and parents of Altwood School.

Maidenhead Hockey Club provides the ideal platform for marketing communications and we all need to promote this aspect to the business community. Are you in a position to sign a sponsorship or advertising cheque, or know a decision maker who can? Sponsorship and advertising can take several forms to match available budgets, such as:

• Team sponsored shirts/clothing
• Advertising board or banner at Altwood
• Sponsored event/trophy/equipment
• Members’ Handbook and Fixture Card advert
• Web link or Clubhouse promotion
