Welcome to Maidenhead Hockey Club
Founded in 1904, Maidenhead Hockey Club is a welcoming club with over 450 adult and junior members. These sides compete in regional and local leagues and provide opportunities for all ages and abilities to take part. We have a strong coaching structure that is available to all our members.
The Club runs:
• 5 ladies teams
• 6 mens teams
• U6 to U18 colts teams
• 4 summer hockey teams
We also enter a number of cup competitions for men, women, mixed and veterans on both a national and regional level with these games usually being held on a Sunday.
During the summer we still offer Summer Hockey League and our very popular Back to Hockey sessions as well as fun training camps for kids during the holidays.
The club uses two astroturf pitches, our own water based pitch is located at Altwood School, Maidenhead and a sand-dressed pitch, run by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead (RBWM), at Braywick Park, Maidenhead.
In addition to our playing facilities, our club house offers our members a chance to relax and enjoy refreshments in its scenic location by the River Thames in Bray.
Maidenhead Hockey Club is an England Hockey Clubs First accredited club and part of the Active Sports Initiative to both train more coaches and to actively take the sport into more schools within the Borough. Our dedicated team of coaches has produced numerous players who have gone on to compete at the highest level, including Matt Daly and Jon Potter, and many more who continue to enjoy the game at more social levels.
