  • Mens 1st XI drew with Eastcote 1 - 1

Maidenhead and Eastcote shared the points in a tightly fought 1-1 draw on Saturday. Saturday 27 February 2010
    Maidenhead Merlins 2 (0) Berkhamsted 1 (0)
    Mair 2 King

With only 9 players including the latest recruit Ed “the Wizard” Watson from Wallingford in goal the Merlins strode onto their favourite Bray 2 pitch against one or other of the Berkhamsted developing veteran sides, who kindly donated a surplus player in each half.

  • Mens 1st XI lost to Chiswick 1st XI 0 - 2

Maidenhead fell to a 2-0 defeat away to league leaders Chiswick. The loss means Chiswick are now 8 points clear of second place Eastcote and 9 points of clear of Maidenhead, who still have a game in hand. The loss effectively ends Maidenhead’s push to win the league but second place, which still offers the hope of promotion, is well within reach after the teams either side of Maidenhead in the table both lost.
