Maidenhead Hockey Club (MHC) is the premier sports club, by numbers, in the Maidenhead area. Founded in 1904, MHC has just celebrated its first Centenary and is destined for many more!

The main hockey season runs from September to April, but MHC is active all year round. During the main season, MHC runs seven Men’s and five Ladies sides every Saturday. These sides compete in regional and local leagues and provide opportunities for all ages and playing abilities. In the summer months, MHC enters a variety of Men’s, Ladies and Mixed teams into local friendly leagues.

Our thriving Colts’ section runs on a Sunday morning and caters for boys and girls from under-8 to under-18. MHC is part of the Active Sports Initiative to both train more coaches and to actively take hockey into schools within the Borough.

MHC is not just about playing hockey, but also about training and development; whether for players, umpires or coaches. During the main season, each of the Sections benefits from weekly training sessions from our dedicated coaches; and members have access to umpire and coaching development courses all year round. MHC has access to two state of the art Astroturf pitches, our own water-based pitch at Altwood School and a sand-dressed pitch (built by RBWM) at Braywick.

As well as our superb playing facilities, the MHC clubhouse offers members the opportunity to relax and enjoy the social side of sport in pleasant surroundings close to Bray. MHC is a family - in fact, many members are families with players at all levels within the club - and the social interaction off the pitch, with each other as well as visiting teams, has contributed immeasurably to our first 100 years and is the bedrock of our future.

We are always looking for new members. We cater for all ranges of abilities, from those that have never played hockey before, to those that are looking for competitive hockey.

COME AND BE PART OF THE PREMIER SPORTS CLUB IN MAIDENHEAD!
