Promotion means that the Mens 1s will now return to South level hockey and will compete against some of the biggest clubs in the country with the addition of London League clubs from 2019/2020 in the South League.

The side now targets winning the league to end the season in style. Only two games stand between them and the championship, which they have led for most of the season.

Preparation for another strong season next year have already commenced.

The Mens 1s will now become the joint 2nd highest level Mens side in Berkshire (after Reading 1s), with Reading 2s coming into the MBBO league below Maidenhead next season.
