MHC are proud to support Anti Bullying Week

3 weeks ago By Maidenhead Hockey Club

This week is National Anti Bullying Week, click here for more information on how we tackle bullying within the club

Bullying can affect people of all ages and as a Club we endeavour to ensure it doesn't happen in our Club. But what is bullying? The Anti-Bullying Alliance defines it as "the repetitive, intentional hurting of one person or group by another person or group, where the relationship involves an imbalance of power. It can happen face to face or online".

For more information on our policies then read the attached document that details If you are experiencing bullying within our hockey club then please contact our Welfare Officer, email them by clicking here.
All our Club Policies and information documents can be found by clicking here.

For more information please visit the Anti-Bullying Alliance Website.

But sports can have a positive effect on helping bullied victims, especially team sports. This article looks at a large nordic study that looked into how team sports can help kids recover from bullying. Click here to read.
