Maidenhead Hockey Club celebrated their end of season in style.

I think everyone would agree that it has been another good year for Maidenhead Hockey Club. We share a great team spirit and the end of year awards night provides an excellent opportunity to come together and celebrate all that we love about the sport.
- Dave Taylor, Club Chairman

Maidenhead Hockey Club got dressed to impress and celebrated the end of the season in style!
The event recognised those players who had gone above and beyond for the sport, while also providing a welcome fundraising opportunity.
A silent auction took place along with a raffle and a game of ‘heads and tails’, raising over £2,000 on the night. All the monies raised will be put towards the new astro being laid over Easter at the club’s home ground at Altwood School .

Player of the Season Awards were given in each team in both the Mens and Ladies sides. Four lifetime achievements awards were also presented to:
• Mike Barnes – previous club chairman
• Fran Hodge and Ruth Young – both of whom are stepping down as ladies’ captains after a number of years
• Jim Thompson – who has run the Colts (the youth team) for 17 years
In addition, players Lindsey Lucas and Helen Todd who are both marketing officers for the club and play for the ladie’s 5s, were recognised for their services over the last year.

After all the formalities were over everyone took to the dancefloor and partied the night away. Click here to see all the photos of the night, including all the Award winners.
