Code of Conduct
Maidenhead Hockey Club has operated rigorous and effective internal disciplinary procedures for some years. However, as part of the ClubsFirst Scheme, a document has been produced by the Club to serve as a reminder to its members of the continued existence of such procedures.
The Club is determined to maintain the good disciplinary record that has been achieved. The Club would like to draw members’ attention to the Code of Conduct, which applies to everyone. An extract of the key points is provided below, the full document will be available from this website soon.
All Maidenhead Hockey Club players are expected to:
- uphold the Club principle of good sportsmanship
- respect others and display good manners at all times whether on or off the field of play
- turn out in the correct kit and be of smart appearance (all players are strongly encouraged to buy the official club shirts)
- respect the umpires’ decision at all times without comment
Players must not bring the game or Club into disrepute in any way:
- by arguing with match officials
- by arguing with opposing players or team mates
