Men’s 3s 5 v 2 Tadley 1

The Men’s 3s we’re playing bottom of the table Tadley having registered an 11-0 home win earlier in the season against them and therefore, there may have been a little bit of complacency in approaching this match.

The team started well with a goal inside 10 minutes after some good work from Rob and a nice finish from Don. The team were soon 2-0 up when Viren finished at the near post but then came a period of play whereby the team were not as disciplined with positions and passing which let Tadley in to score.

Tim restored the 2-goal lead with a great shot into the far corner but after the break (with a change to 3 at the back) Tadley pressed and managed to get themselves a second goal.

Thankfully, the team recovered well to see the match out with goals from Mark and Tim and Tyler made some excellent saves in the match to ensure Tadley were kept out. The match was called early due to an unfortunate injury to one of the Tadley players but thankfully he recovered to make it into the bar for a beer afterwards!

In all it was an important away win and an 3 points; next up is Phoenix Reading who are just above the Magicians in the table.
