Mens 2's vs Wallingford 3's

The Mens 2s had an excellent performance on Saturday against Wallingford. They were dominant in possession from the off and a series of short corners followed. With a well worked familiar routine Dave M injected as per normal and Ollie calmly stopped it. It was then up to Oz to drag it into the goal which he duly did. It really was 3rd time lucky. Maids continued to press and it wasn't long before a quick second followed after some nice work down the right hand side between Jake and Sam playing a nice 1-2. Before he realised it Sam was in the D and hit a cross come shot which made it into the goal, he looked as surprised as we were but they all count! That was Maids 2 up at halftime. Wallingford were coming back into it and Tyler made several good saves. However on the break Maids were dangerous and it wasn't long before they earnt another short. It was deja vu, but this time their keeper pushed the save towards Sam and he duly put the rebound away.

Towards the end of the game Wallingford got on the score sheet but it was too little too late. The game was already won.

Having 14, an injection of youth and some good team play meant this was a comfortable win for Maids. Roll on the next game!
