Ladies 2s -vs- Windsor 1

We started the game v Windsor in windy and rainy conditions and finished in a similar condition but with smiles on our faces as we snatched a result.

The excitement in the first half was uncontrollably tense as we had hit the post twice and narrowly missed the goal on several occasions.
Windsor were not exactly dormant and with 4/5 huge saves from Alexis the score was 0-0 at half time.

We welcomed back our two Mums Holly and Hannah in to the midfield and with our depth of squad we pressed through to the second half on top but not converting a well earned stroke set by an infamous run from Yazzie . Holly T also made several speedy and skillful runs down the right flank but we were unlucky not too convert. Windsor made a few solo runs but our diving defender EG managed to make a crucial touch
The confidence and commitment from the players reached a climax in our 23 when 5 quick passes resulted in Emma roofing the ball in to the top corner of the goal. What a sensational goal which came at the right moment.

End to end hockey continued until the last minutes of the game but we came away with the right result 1-0.
