Saturday saw Maidenhead Ladies 3's play Amersham and Chalfont in an action-packed home game. In the early stages, Maids pressed hard, with a promising early opportunity with Miranda's precise through ball to Debs, but the opposing keeper showed her skill early making a great save.
A&C retaliated, applying pressure on Maids' defense, but they held their ground.
As the game progressed, A&C made an incisive drive into the D, but Courtney's excellent saves kept the scores level.
Throughout the first half, teamwork shone as Taylor and Katie disrupted A&C's plays on the right side, and Miranda's impressive work on the left earned a short corner.
Despite Maids' efforts, the first half remained goalless at halftime.
The second half began with A&C launching an aggressive attack, breaking through Maids' defense to go 1-0 up early. Determined to not get our heads downs Lisa's determined drive led to a short corner and a well-executed slap into the left hand corner by Taylor leveled the score at 1-1.
With new confidence Maids continued to fight, securing another short corner in the. A scramble and multiple deflections, with Miranda ultimately tapping it in to make it 2-1 for Maids.
The game remained intense, featuring some chaotic moments in the D. Maids showcased their resilience and Caitlin's beautiful strike from a short corner put them ahead 3-1.
A&C pulled one back in the final 5 minutes making it 3-2, creating a nervy finish. However, Maids' defense held firm, clearing the ball multiple times including some lovely clears from Laura to buy us time.
The final whistle blew, sealing Maids' hard-fought 3-2 victory. Miranda was deservedly named the player of the Match, capping off her birthday with an outstanding performance.
