Ladies 4's vs Windsor 3's

It was a sunny start to the league season, our squad arrived on time and had a thorough pre match warm up. Lots of new faces this season both from the 5’s as well as new to the club which is great to see.

We were facing a Windsor side who are a club known for their highly drilled formations. However we reminded ourselves what we focussed on in training (switching and passing as opposed to running through a congested zone).

The first 20 minutes were excellent - we switched on from the start with great intensity and support for one another by running back, working in pairs and threes. A great early goal from Liv as a result of flooding their D with white shirts

We began to loose our formation in the last 10 minutes, however we got another chance on goal with a P flick which Fran popped past the keeper.

2-0 up at an extended half time, giving a chance to remind ourselves of the formation, need for switching, good communication in the forward line (who is staying high) and using the width.

Going into the second half and they tried to get on top of the game. However as Gill magnificently managed the side line - we had plenty of fresh legs at every part of the pitch - we kept momentum going. Another goal achieved by Fran off a short corner - we have found some great injectors. Thx to Liv, Hannah and Chloe.

A MASSIVE team effort, everyone gave 100%. Great debuts from Courtney (fine voice!), Hannah, Liv, Holly, Chloe, Anna, Romi, George and welcome back Kirsty (who has played with us before)
