Super Hockey girls!

Another great report this time from Hannah-who scored the most amazing individual goal on Saturday!

We headed into what we knew would be a hard game on Saturday against, the team above us in the league, Phoenix and Ranelagh. We all played extremely well and are strengthening game by game.
We started the match positively and got our first goal from Hannah. We were unlucky not to secure another one in the first half with loads of goal opportunities but just couldn't seem to get one in! We came to half time 1-0 up.
Phoenix came into the 2nd half much stronger but we kept pushing and were soon rewarded with a great goal from Issy.
We kept on pushing with some amazing play on the right wing by Niki. Liz, Jill and Fran worked well in defence to stop Phoenix’s advances and took some excellent free hits!
We then conceded an unlucky goal against the run of play which made the score 2-1. Shortly afterwards Jade got a nasty hit in the jaw but she came back on the pitch and played brilliantly on the opposite wing. Issy then fired in a final goal for us making the final score 3-1.
We all played extremely well and should be very proud. It was an excellent team effort and puts us third in the league with level points with the team in second who we had just beaten
