Ladies 5's vs A&C away

What a game today all.

In their first match in Division 3, having been promoted last season, Maidenhead took the pushback and start strongly. After ten minutes up and down the pitch, Amersham and Chalfont got their first goal, 1 up. Maidenhead won a short corner, but couldn’t convert it, and Amersham and Chalfont break away to make it 2-0. At half time it stands 3-0 after a third goal from a short corner.

After a half time motivational talk from Paul and Lucy, the second half begins with Maidenhead going straight back into it. A short corner early into the half is cheekily converted with a strike by Holly Hughes which slips through all the defenders to make it 3-1. This gives Maidenhead a huge confidence boost and 10 minutes later Maidenhead are still attacking strong and confusion in the D means Cerys can take advantage, going round the goalie and scoring. 5 minutes before the end, Maidenhead score again with a glorious pass from Sienna to Holly who thumped the ball resolutely in the back of the net. 3-3!

After a last minute attacking by both sides, the game ends 3-3!

A great first game for many of our new players in to the squad.
