Ready for a Win and boy did the girls deliver!

South Bucks had first push back but we immediately intercepted the ball and drove up to the attacking D. Annabel and Maddie worked well together passing the ball up the line and driving into the D.
Pippa had a shot at goal that was unfortunately a bit wide hitting the post. But Maddie quickly drove up again and won us our first goal of the game.
South bucks tried again to push us back but we quickly won the ball again and headed for the D. It was then Annabel’s turn to find the back of the net bringing us up to 2-0 only a few minutes into the game.
We were really in the flow again driving up to the D, winning a short corner. Unfortunately the slow sandy pitch effected push out and South Bucks were able to clear the ball out of the D.
This did not stop our drive and Sophie fresh from her football match got stuck in with several near misses, the ball just went slightly wide each time.
But only 10 minutes after she came on the pitch her game was cut short after a nasty tackle to her thumb sent her to A&E! (no broken bones though thankfully!)
We were now determined to get that goal for Sophie. Holly sent the ball up and Ruth had a shot that again just went slightly wide.
We reset and some lovely passing saw Holly pass up to Macy who passed into Ruth in the D and this time she found the back of the net 3-0!
We then won our second short corner just before the half time whistle. Everyone came up to support but unfortunately we could find the net.
So we finished the first half 3-0!

Second half we knew that South Bucks would come back fighting but we kept our composure and with Jacqui driving down the middle we kept our position up the pitch. We drove hard up and South Bucks pushed back. Jess W caught any ball heading for our goal and sent them straight back up the pitch with her massive hit.
Our attacking play continued well and we worked together (just like we had practiced in training). This allowed Maddie to find the goal brining us to 4-0.
We lost our composure and all bunched around the ball, meaning all the play went up the right side. But Holly kept on working hard, driving through player after player and for this she was awarded by finding the back of the net 5-0!
South Bucks had not given up get though and fought hard to push back through us and after Jess W, with some fancy footwork, ended up sitting on the ball, we had lost our concentration and South Bucks pushed the ball past TJ to a player on the post to popped it in making the score 5-1.
This woke us up and we all jumped back to defend. There was some questionable decisions made but we had to play on as we had been unable to source our own umpire for this match.
The opposition were awarded a short corner after Jacqui had been hit in the head, but we cleared it easily and Jacqui got her revenge after we drove back up the pitch and she found the back of the net, bringing us to our final score of 6-1!
A great game with some questionable umpiring, but well done girls!
