Firstly this week we have to thank Jess D for showing up, umpiring and doing a great job! Also, I was not around for most of the first half so thank you again Sophie Boycott for note taking!

We started with pushback, Maddie to Anji and immediately there was some good work from Elouise, dribbling in and out of three players.
Helen did her usual fantastic job keeping calm under pressure in the defensive D, doing a skill onto the oppositions foot and turning it around to push back up the pitch.

Unfortunately Thame go 1-0 up, after a shot from the top of the D sneaks in past the right hand post.

Maidenhead play well and continue to press Thame’s half, with great work down the wing and some lovely skills shown by all.

The second goal of the game came from a short corner, Maddie with a push to Anji, who was waiting at the top of the D, a lovely hit fell to Eloise, who slapped it past the goalkeeper.

The half time score was 1-1 and we had a great team talk from Bex, talking about working the wings better, helping each other more and making sure we are behind the ball.

After Bex's excellent talk, we went back out roaring and ready to go.

After a desperate messy scramble in the D that somehow incredibly didn't result in a goal, we earned a short corner. Maddie injected an amazing hard push to the top, Hayley slips to Ruth, but Thame's keeper came spreading out and dives on the floor to make an annoyingly good save.

Thame turned it back on us and attacked the left hand side but Keira made a good save as.

The pace of the game had really picked up Amelia made a great run down the right hand side after some good play from TJ but again it bounced back and Keira made yet another perfect save to keep us in the game!

Elouise made an amazing run from the half way line to the base line, unfortunately she is by herself and Thame win it all the way back to make it Thame 2-1.

We worked really hard and won 2 short corners in a row. The first ended in a scramble with the ball being stopped in the line by a foot giving another short to us that we were again unable to convert.

The work rate from us never seemed to drop and Anji did some lovely work on the right hand side while maidenhead camped in the Thame half.

This was followed up by some brilliant skill from Eloise in the right hand side of the D, eventually ended in a shot, that rocketed narrowly past the left hand post.

We worked really really hard and almost had another goal scoring opportunity in the last two minutes but sadly just didn't quite manage to claw back the difference and the final score was 2-1.
