Maidenhead U10's In2Hockey Tournament
Playing as a team
So this morning our U10 Girls took part in the Berkshire In2Hockey 7 a side tournament hosted by Slough HC.
The team that took part where Tilly Lawrence (GK), Megan Bond, Libby Babcock, Bonnie Hutchison, Reina Kawashima Spiers, Scarlett Pettifor, Evie Shotton, Amy Shuttleworth and Aisling Heffernan with Coach Francis assisting me on the side lines.
The girls all played brilliant hockey today playing 5 games, winning their first match, drawing 3, and losing 1 giving us a position of 3rd at the end of the tournament with Reading coming 1st and South Berks 1's 2nd. This tournament included the girls playing both attacking and defensive short corners which they all took in their stride. Well done girls - we will do some more work on those in training over the next few weeks.
We are super proud of all of you - you played so well as team and your team spirit off the pitch is super too. We have no doubt you will go on to play great hockey together.
You are all awesome - believe in yourselves, take time when getting close to the goal, you have more time than you think and GK Tilly well done today you made some super saves with your defence team and the defensive and attacking shorts were great too.
