Maidenhead 2s suffered a hard loss against Milton Keynes 3s on Saturday. Missing 14 players from the squad through injuries/unavailability, Maidenhead were forced to play the entire match with 10 players. This became 9 when Jake suffered a head injury and was 8 for a 2-minute period after Chris’s green card.
In such trying circumstances, a huge amount of credit is given to those involved (and thanks to Matt, Oz and Callum for stepping in to help) in a performance where the team never gave up! We played with good structure throughout the match and with more discipline in position could have made the game a much tighter affair.
Two goals from man of the match Mathieu (one drag flick and one finish from a tight angle) ensured that Maids at least came away with a couple of goals.
