Accidents on M40 and M25 created quite the challenge to get to Eastcote ground. This is when the overrunning of previous matches is helpful!!
Despite the belief the previous week that Eastcote would be yet another thrashing, we did really well! Eastcote are near the top of the division so the match strategy was to play a “half press”.
Our boys stuck to the strategy and were passing and communicating well. Looking at the game play anyone would have believed Maidenhead were the stronger of the two teams. Structured, measured and certainly winning more time in the opposition's D.
We were awarded a total of 8 short corners during the match. They were awarded only 4. They converted 3 out of their 4, we converted none!
Final score 3:0 to Eastcote.
Our Callum played very well considering the black circles around his eyes told us all he’d had a good night the night before ;)
