3 wins in a row for Monarchs

The Monarchs produced another solid display to beat Wycombe 6 away. This game could've finished with Monarchs scoring 5 or 6 goals given the numerous opportunities that were fashioned. The team started with Randy as kicking back and the team held firm early on but then inevitably conceded after 10 minutes. After that, it was all Monarchs with some great attacking play that resulted in several good chances early on. The team were ahead courtesy to 2 superb drag flicks by newcomer Mathieu who capitalised well on 2 short corners which gave the team a lead going into half time. Ollie and Joe were also playing their first matches for the Monarchs and made some great attacking runs on the left and right hand sides respectively. The team were solid in defence and held off the Wycombe attack and then counter attacked time and time again and were unlucky not to have added to the scoreline. Connor put in another great display in goal and Richard was providing plenty of crosses from the right hand side which unfortunately were not converted. This was a well deserved win with the only drawback that it should have been by a much great margin. 3 wins in a row now puts the Monarchs in 4th place in the league only on goal difference.
