The Monarchs' winning streak came to an end with a convincing defeat by Aylesbury. Them team didn't play to the high standards it had previously set with a lack of intent passing and few chances created. Aylesbury started well with a goal within the first 5 minutes which put the Monarchs on the back foot. Zak put in a good performance at right-back with some good tackling and support for the right midfield and Jack also worked well in midfield to try and work the counter attack. The team went in at half time 3-0 down and started off the second half in much better fashion as they started to use the wings more with Cory working tirelessly on the right hand side. The Monarchs defence was continually breached as Aylesbury managed to flood the midfield area which didn't really give the back four much chance. Connor once again made some great saves to keep the score down but ultimately the match had been lost by half time. This was a below par performance by the Monarchs but credit must be given to Aylesbury who were well drilled and quick to every ball. The Monarchs are still in a good position in the league and have to get things back on track next week with an away match at Eastcote.
