Draw v Newbury

After a long drive we were all quite surprised to see how much the team had grown! On Fri we only had 10 and now suddenly we had 15! A couple of debutants with Simon and Ronnie which added to our numbers. As well as Alexis from the ladies 2s helping us out in goal. The game ebbed and flowed with Newbury moving the ball well but we disrupted their movement quite well and created some half chances of our own. However Newbury pressure eventually told and after winning a short they scored with a well struck strike from the top of the D. This was early in the second half so we had enough time to come back. We started to look dangerous on the break and as a result Newbury got a bit more physical. I picked up a yellow for questioning my well timed clean jab tackle which the umpire said was a stick tackle and a short corner. ? Anyway we held on and didn't concede with the midfield of Clint, Rob, James and Tom working well. Then with 2 mins to go we won a short, the first strike was saved and from the top of the D Clint pounced to secure a satisfying draw! 1 all the final score.
