Berkshire U15's Girls Hockey Squad have been crowned South of England Champions after seeing off the best of the county teams across the South.
Over a four week period the girls side which featured Maidenhead Hockey Clubs very own Amy Kemp, Jade Otto and Tori Cracknell took on seven counties, winning six matches, losing one and drawing one. They went into the final weekend need victories over both Sussex and Surrey to secure their Title and they managed to win both games 3-1.
They were determined to win, having been runners up last year. Head Coach Tim Cracknell, with assistant coaches Michael Clark and Bill Edgar had been working with the girls since January.
The girls picked up their medals on Thursday at the Berkshire Hockey Association Awards Evening.
