On behalf of the Hurley family, It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Colin Edward Hurley on the 9th December 2025. He peacefully departed from this world at Foxleigh Grove nursing home.

Born on 6th February 1936, Colin lived in Maidenhead all his life and was educated at Maidenhead Grammar School. He was a player and an umpire at Maidenhead Hockey Club for many years, and many at the club will also have played with his son Adrian.

A service will be held on Friday 23rd January at Reading Crematorium (All Hallows Rd, Caversham, Reading, RG4 5LP) at 11:30, with a celebration of his life being held afterwards at The Cricketers pub, Littlewick Green.

Friends and family are welcome to attend.

Maidenhead Hockey Club would like to extend their heartfelt condolences to all of Colin's family and friends and to thank him for his years of service to our club. He will not be forgotten.
