Our annual Vets Tournament was a great success this weekend, with some of the squads meeting at Bisham Abbey for meal on Saturday evening, followed by a Sunday afternoon of hockey at Maidenhead & Bray Sports Club.
The tournament gave us the opportunity to honour one of our members, Trevor Wardle with a Lifetime Achievement Award recognising his contribution to Maidenhead Hockey Club over several decades - the trophy was presented by our Treasurer Jonathan Crowther.
Success on the pitch came with Maidenhead's- The Old Goats playing 4 and winning 4.
Just to remind you the teams that played were
Handbags
STK Berlin
Rusty Nuts
Red Lions
Old Goats
Grand Masters
Exiles
Thank you to the sports club for hosting our tournament on Sunday and to Theo Brekelmans and Lionel Connor for organising another great weekend of hockey. We look forward to seeing you again next year.
