Hello Players, Parents and Supporters,
This weekend will see some of our teams playing their first post lock down matches, it is going to be a busy one for Maidenhead Hockey Club!
Firstly, I would like to thank you for your support over the last month. We have implemented many new processes, taking temperatures, liberal application of sanitizer and full electronic attendance recording being just three of them – all have been accepted and have become part of our ‘new normal’ hockey sessions.
As part of my role as Covid Officer, it is also necessary for me to reiterate the following points:
• Please continue to respect social distancing guidelines
• Home matches: Spectators are welcome, outside of the fence
• Away matches: Spectators are welcome, where our opposition guidelines allow
• The viewing area at Altwood is currently out of bounds
• All players will need to bring sanitiser and water bottles
• Players and officials to follow specific on-pitch guidance as set out by their captains
More comprehensive guidance is available in the Maidenhead Hockey Club Covid 19 protocol document, which can be found below.
As a hockey family, we must continue to follow these guidelines and also we must respectfully remind our guests to do so too. Locally, we are seeing an increase in cases which only reinforces the need to do this.
I welcome any questions or feedback, either by email or face to face – I will be attending a few matches and training sessions in the coming weeks.
Good luck to all teams competing this weekend,
Helen Harris
