Maidenhead Hockey Club

Maidenhead 1s compete in the South Central Men’s Division 1 North – a highly challenging league packed with competitive teams from across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

The team consists of talented teenagers at the start of their hockey careers, university returners at the peak of their hockey prowess, and a few wily veterans with a wealth of experience. Under the watchful eye of Head Coach David Joshua, whose expertise and tactical knowledge have shaped the ethos and mentality of the whole men’s section, the team are looking to re-establish themselves as one of the main contenders in the South Central divisions with a blend of attack-minded and defensively disciplined hockey.

Maidenhead 1s are captained by goalkeeper Karl Hoddell, with on-field leadership responsibilities handled by Men’s section captain Marcus Foley.
