On Sunday, our U12G's played in their first tournament of the season at Sonning Hockey Club.

Maidenhead had 2 teams and were playing against Newbury & Thatcham, South Berks, Slough, Reading and Sonning. The tournament was a great opportunity for all to put their skills together with their team mates, and we saw some fantastic results. Most importantly, we saw our players enjoying the games and there were lots of smiles.

The girls also embraced the new format of "power play", instead of short corners and seemed to adapt well to this. It will make the games more dynamic as the teams get more used to this.

It was good to see our two goal keepers in action and huge thanks to Stephen Haynes for supporting one of our teams with Hannah who was busy umpiring as well as coaching. Thanks also to Lyra for supporting Sonning in one of their games.

Huge thanks to Sonning Hockey Club for hosting us.
